Lahti Market Square, the heart of Lahti city center!
The Lahti Market Square and car park, which was completed in April 2015 and completely renovated, is worth a visit. Lahti Market Square, founded in 1880, is a lively market town in the summer, but it also takes place in the market in the winter. The market square is divided into an archive and an event market, and the car is easily accessible from the Market Park. Popular events at Lahti Market include: Lahti Ice Market, Lahti Night, Jazz and Christmas Market and Salpausselänkisat.
The former market paving has been restored to the market, but there are also unobstructed routes across the market where the surface is flat. The material for the accessible routes is a red granite slab.
The market is hosted by Timo Arasola with innovative approaches, and the market changes from a market to an amusement park or event area as needed.
