Turku Market Square is a well-known market and meeting place in the center of Turku.
The market square is also a very popular tourist attraction as well as a place for coffee. The market also hosts various events, such as markets and concerts. Fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as a magnificent sea of flowers, attract passers-by. The varied and high-quality offer also includes fresh fish, clothing and handicrafts. You can pop into the market for shopping, coffee or just to feel the atmosphere.
The market square is open from 7 am to 6 pm on weekdays and from 7 am to 3 pm on Saturdays. In addition, there are bus stops right on the edge of the market square, and on the west side is the Louhi underground car park.
The market square is being renovated at a rapid pace and aims to improve the comfort of the city center, increase commercial activity in the area and create completely new uses for public space. The new market square will be completed in the summer of 2022.
