Description
The current Government Square was founded in 1838. The golden age of the square was between the founding of the city and the 1860s, when the market offered e.g. cattle, grain, butter, horses, hemp, flax and Russian imported goods.
The market was completely renovated in 2011, when a parking area was built under the market.
