Perhaps the most famous attraction in Kuopio is its market square. This and the harbor square are the busiest shopping and meeting places in the city. The market has been in its current location since 1818.
The fixed structures in the area are the Kuopio Market Hall and the kiosk and service buildings. The city’s main bus stops are around the market square.
