The 50 new hotel rooms at Solo Sokos Hotel Lahti Seurahuone were inaugurated on 19 April. Located in the heart of Lahti, Seurahuone Loft House offers hotel guests a lavish setting with design rooms, interior gardens and lounge areas.
Seurahuone Loft House’s wonderfully detailed rooms are located on the 3rd floor of Sokos Lahti. Hotel rooms that exude luxury are unique even by the standards of Finland as a whole.
Rooms at Seurahuone Loft House are spacious and higher than usual. In some rooms, the ceiling only meets the height of seven meters. Of the fifty rooms, 15 are two-storey. In the Loft House of the club room, everyday life gets a golden edge for a moment and is an experience in itself. The new rooms will fulfill the dreams of even the most demanding traveler, sure to remain in the memory and heart of their guests. Loft House is a hidden treasure that is hidden in the center of Lahti and will delight its customers for decades.
SURPRISING DETAILS
Rustic, harmony and modernity are beautifully combined in the new hotel rooms. Plenty of warm tones have been used in the elegant interior, and you can spot the interior designer Jaakko Puro‘s trademark: the bird from many places.
The wood composite furniture for the bathrooms is made of wood from Finnish forests. Woodio is a design-oriented materials technology company whose products have a relatively small carbon footprint. All of Woodion’s products can be disposed of as energy waste when they reach the end of their life cycle, says Hotel Director Marika Haavisto.
Plush beds give guests a good night’s sleep, and in-room heating and cooling and a SMART TV add to the comfort.
Depending on the room, the individual rooms include, for example, a sauna that strongly belongs to the Finnish soul landscape, a skylight with a magnificent view of the sky, a fairly sized and elegant bathtub and a cozy terrace.
Some rooms have a direct view of Lahti’s main street or, alternatively, the hotel’s magnificent interior garden, which bathes in light on bright days thanks to a huge skylight.
– In the Loft House you sit on the garden terrace in winter, summer, rain in the middle of the city. There is something surprising in all the rooms, for example, you can watch the hustle and bustle of Aleksanterinkatu from the oval window while reading a book and tasting coffee, or enjoy a moment in the wooden bathroom of your dreams, describes Lari Rusila, Director of Nutrition.
In addition to the inner garden and comfortable rooms, hotel guests can enjoy the gentle steam of the two custom saunas and the atmospheric coziness of the Loft Lounge.
CLOSE FLAVORS TO THE PLATE
Lahti Seurahuone’s delicious breakfast has aroused the admiration of hotel guests. A varied and varied breakfast is lovingly built with all guests in mind.
– All the products in our breakfast menu are signposted, which means that our guests know what is on offer. Of course, our staff is also happy to tell you more about breakfast, says restaurant manager Anne Kajaniemi.
The handprint of the Lahti Seurahuone’s skilled employees is clearly visible in the breakfast table on offer.
– We do a lot of handicrafts. Some of the cakes are baked here by us, and canned waffle dough portions, fresh porridge and scrambled eggs are also made by us ourselves. So we break the eggs ourselves – and otherwise a really large amount is needed, Anne Kajaniemi laughs.
Breakfast in the club room includes many local delicacies. For example, sausages and beef made from beef pallet come from Maatila – Liha Meronen from Orimatta. The tables also contain e.g. fresh rolls of Pekan Leipä from Heinola, oatmeal made from the flakes of Vääksy Viipurilainen, Vääksy Pure Oatmeal from Vääksy, berries from the Tuloisela’s berry farm in Hämeenkoski and products from Fazer’s Lahti factory.
– We also try to take special diets into account at our breakfast. For example, we have our own serving points for gluten-free and vegan products, mentions Anne Kajaniemi.
