Astuvansalmi rock paintings
Astuvansalmi in Mikkeli’s Ristiina has the largest rock painting complex in the Nordic countries. It is recommended for rock paintings to be transported by water, instead of a nature trail. In summer, cruises are organized for paintings.
Kenkävero
The magnificent, unique Kenkävero priest’s milieu in Mikkeli is an unmissable attraction all year round along Road 5, right on the shores of Lake Saimaa. There are several unique shops in the beautiful courtyard. The restaurant serves delicacies on both weekdays and public holidays.
